This September, Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site & Archives invites you aboard Huakaʻi I Nā Hōkū, our annual fundraising gala on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at The Royal Hawaiian Hotel.
The evening honors two great voyages that shaped modern Hawaiʻi: the Polynesian wayfinders who followed the stars across the Pacific for centuries, and the missionary families who sailed 18,000 miles aboard the Brig Thaddeus, sighting Mauna Kea 206 years ago. As HMH launches its 2026–2030 strategic plan, we invite our community to join us as fellow voyagers — helping chart a bold new course toward deeper community engagement, expanded educational reach, and the continued stewardship of Hawaiʻi’s extraordinary cultural heritage.
