Mahalo nui loa for another great year!
We are so grateful for your donations to our annual fundraising gala, Huakaʿi: Ma ō ka ʻĀina; Ma ō ke Kai – By Way of Land; By Way of Sea, to benefit the Hawaiian Mission Houses’ educational programs. Your unwavering commitment to the Hawaiian Mission Houses has been the cornerstone of our success, and we are deeply grateful for the foundation you have helped us build.
Our educational programs engage learners of all ages and inspire them to connect with the rich history and culture of Hawaiʿi. One of our guest speakers at Huakaʿi – veteran Kahuku Elementary School kumu Laurie Waite Flores – said that being introduced to one of Hawaiʿi’s earliest printing presses at HMH brought history and literacy to life for her students. Adele Champlin Dial – Academic Instructional Coach at Waiʿanae Intermediate School – shared that the hands-on experience at HMH engages the imagination of her students, broadens their historical context, and creates memories that will last a lifetime.
Through your contributions, we will expand our reach, innovate our programs, and ensure that the stories of Hawaiʿi’s past resonate with future generations. We invite you to witness your generosity in action by attending our upcoming events throughout the year.
Mahalo again for being an integral part of our Huakaʿi. We look forward to what we will accomplish together in the years to come.
Me ke aloha,
