About the Library
HAWAIIAN MISSION CHILDREN'S SOCIETY (HMCS) LIBRARY is a research Library containing rare books, Manuscript Collections and other special collections. The general focus of the Library's collections is on the history of Hawai‘i from 1778 to 1900.

Visit our Digital Library for full-text, keyword-searchable access to some of our original Hawaiian-language publications, many of which were printed right here at the Mission Houses Printing House. The Hawaiian Mission Children's Society Library has the most extensive collection of Hawaiian-language publications in the world.
